She burst onto the scene as a 15-year-old, when she qualified for the 4x400 meters relay team for the 1994 Commonwealth Games in Victoria.

Lewis has been branded overweight and out of form by an anonymous Australian track and field official and told she needs to concentrate more on athletics and forget her modeling career.
